Tech Plus Consulting turns classroom learning into real-world impact. We are a student-run consulting wing within Tech Plus at the University of Michigan, where undergraduates work on real projects with real clients. Our teams partner with Detroit-based businesses connected to Newlab Detroit and Michigan Central, helping organizations grow while gaining hands-on consulting experience.
Our projects span both strategy and execution. Teams support clients through digital strategy, growth planning, and market research & competitive intelligence, as well as software selection and implementation, online presence optimization, and wireframing. Students contribute as business, strategic, or technical analysts, working in small teams to deliver practical, client-ready solutions.
Just as important as the work is the community behind it. Members receive mentorship from professionals at firms such as Accenture, Deloitte, and Microsoft while building genuine relationships with peers across majors. Tech Plus blends professional development, collaboration, and responsibility into a consulting experience that prepares students to create meaningful impact.
